Earth Day Cookies
Ingredients
- 3/4 cup salted butter (room temperature)
- 2/3 cup white sugar
- 1 tablespoon vanilla extract
- 1 egg
- 2 cups of all purpose flour
- blue and green food coloring
- circle cookie cutter
1. Preheat your oven to 375 degrees Fahrenheit.
2. Prep your cookie sheet with parchment paper or non-stick spray.
3. Cream together butter and sugar.
4. Add vanilla and the egg and stirs to mix.
5. Mix in the flour 1 cup at a time.
6. Separate the dough into two bowls.
7. Add blue coloring to one bowl and green to the other. Mix until the dough is evenly colored. Roll each clump of dough into a ball.
8. Roll each dough ball out to 1/4 inch thick.
9. Break and press pieces of the green dough onto the blue dough.
10. Roll out the land and sea one more to 1/4 inch thickness.
11. Cut out circles and place on the cookie sheet.
12. Bake for 8 to 10 minutes.
13. Cool and enjoy!
