Ingredients  1 and 1/2 cups warm water  1 tablespoon honey or white sugar  1 package active dry yeast  1 teaspoon baking powder  1  teaspoon salt  2 tablespoons butter, room temperature  3 cups of flour and more on hand for kneading  1 egg white, for browning Steps 1. Proof the yeast in a bowl of the warm water and sugar. 2. Add the butter, salt, and flour 1 cup at a time. The dough should be very sticky. 3. Knead for 10 - 15 minutes. This is easier with a stand mixer. If kneading by hand, use a floured surface. Add 1/4 cup of flour if the dough is still sticky after the first five minutes. 4.
